The Zebra ZXP Series 8 Re-transfer ID card printer is based on ZMotif, Zebra's new XML standards-based printer and job control software language. Thanks to the ZMotif drivers and SDK, the ZXP Series 8 ID card printer is enterprise-ready with driver and management utility tools, which allow easy setup and faster deployment.
The ZMotif toolbox application features a complete console for advanced card printer and driver configuration--ensuring setup and management of Zebra ZXP Series 8 ID card printers is a snap. Management features include user role-based driver password protection, print logging, configuration save and restore, and a selection of test cards. Integration of the Zebra ZXP Series Eight ID card printer into local or networked systems is easy with its Microsoft® Windows® certified drivers and availability of USB, Ethernet and 802.11b/g wireless interfaces. (NOTE: Ethernet and wireless interfaces are coming soon.)
Additional user-friendly features include a single-card feeder, a 150 card input hopper, a 15-card reject hopper and easy access to print media. Plus, the 21-character LCD operator control panel feature offers printer information look-up and settings control, including English and Spanish language options, at your finger tips.
The Zebra ZXP Series Eight ID card printer offers a variety of options that can be included in your printer initially, or added on when you need them. ZXP Series 8 options include a magnetic stripe encoder, smart card contact and contactless encoders, a UHF Gen 2 RFID encoder, 802.11b/g wireless connectivity, and a lamination module. (NOTE: Ethernet and wireless interfaces, UHF encoder and lamination modules are coming soon.)
The Zebra ZXP Series 8 single sided ID card printer uses retransfer printing technology. In retransfer printing, the card image is printed on the underside of the retransfer film. This printing technology provides built-in card fraud protection because it easily shows evidence of card tampering.
The Zebra ZXP Series 8 retransfer single sided printer features a lockable enclosure and card feeder, preventing unauthorized use of the printer and supplies. To further secure your printer, the ZXP ID card printer includes a Kensington® lock slot.
